Here are the answers to our most common questions. We hope you speak with us in person about any concerns you have.
How does Dr. Hine keep up-to-date on all of the current techniques and materials?Dr. Hine subscribes to the latest dental journals, and he makes a point of attending dental meetings in Dallas and Kansas City. This helps him see what other dentists are doing not just in this town, but across the nation. Can you show me what my smile can look like ahead of time with imaging software?Of course. You will have an excellent idea of what your smile will look like after a cosmetic dental procedure. How do I know when it is time to come in for a checkup? We will call you for your six-month recall. At what age should my children first see the dentist?Parents are encouraged to bring in their children at least by the age of three. Even if they do not have dental work performed, they can meet the dentist and his staff, see what a dental office really looks like, and hopefully learn that going to the dentist can be fun. Do you accept referrals? We accept all referrals. Do you accept my insurance plan?We accept most insurance plans. Please call Kay Zaleski. She takes care of your insurance forms, making sure you get the proper reimbursement from your insurance company. Will I be charged if I need to cancel an appointment? No, we understand unexpected emergencies come up. We will just reschedule you for the next available time. What do I do if I have an emergency when the office is closed? When you call the office number after hours, you will hear which number you should call for an emergency. That number will connect you to Dr. Hine who will call you back right away. I have a temporary crown in my mouth. What happens if it comes off or breaks? You will need to come into our office immediately, and we will prepare a new crown for you. My child has had an accident and his or her tooth has been entirely knocked out. What should I do?There is a chance we can get the tooth back in your child's mouth, so please rush your child and the tooth to our office right away. If possible, place the tooth in a cup of milk, so the calcium and vitamin D from the milk can continue feeding the tooth bone. |
